Job description
Are you an experienced and dynamic leader with a passion for creating exceptional dining experiences and a love of wine? We are currently seeking a highly motivated and results-driven General Manager to join our growing restaurant gruop. As the General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, fostering a culture of excellence, and ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Lead by example, inspire, and motivate the team to deliver exceptional service and uphold the restaurant's standards of excellence.
- Operations Management: Oversee all aspects of daily restaurant operations, including staff scheduling, inventory management, and quality control, to ensure smooth and efficient functioning of the establishment.
- Customer Experience: Ensure every guest enjoys an unforgettable dining experience by maintaining high-quality service, ambiance, and attention to detail.
- Financial Performance: Drive revenue growth and profitability through effective cost control measures, upselling strategies, and maximizing sales opportunities.
- Staff Hiring, Training and Development: Implement ongoing recruitment and training programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge, ensuring consistent service quality.
- Vendor and Supplier Relations: Manage relationships with suppliers and negotiate favorable contracts to maintain the highest quality ingredients and products at competitive prices.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations to maintain a safe and clean environment for guests and staff.
- Marketing and Promotions: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute promotional campaigns, events, and loyalty programs to attract new customers and retain existing ones.
- Community Engagement: Establish strong ties within the local community to enhance the restaurant's reputation and customer base.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare regular financial reports and analysis for senior management, outlining key performance metrics and areas for improvement.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a General Manager or in a senior management role within a fine dining restaurant or upscale hospitality setting.
- Strong food and wine knowledge with an emphasis on French, Italian, and Spanish oragins.
- Exceptional leadership skills, with a track record of effectively managing and motivating diverse teams.
- Strong business acumen, including financial management and P&L understanding.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities to foster positive relationships with customers, staff, and suppliers.
- In-depth knowledge of fine dining service standards, culinary trends, and industry best practices.
- Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
