Job description

PURPOSE OF THIS ROLE:
This position includes the implementation of speech-language intervention services for young children through adults with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and related disabilities.
The SLP will:
Conduct intakes, administer assessments, and be responsible for program delivery.
Conduct parent training sessions to ensure parents are actively involved in the intervention.
May provide professional development training through live and online webinars and support the training and scheduling of university practicum students with oversight from the Lead SLP.
TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
All duties (e.g., communication support, consultation, and intervention) will be performed across programs, including early intervention, recreation, and adult services, the three primary impact areas at Els for Autism Foundation®. Speech-language services can occur both on and off campus.
Administer speech-language and augmentative & alternative communication (AAC) evaluations
Develop & implement speech-language treatment goals and objectives
Integrate parent training, parent involvement and communication with families across screenings, assessments, and treatment programs
Generate clinical reports and graphs
Provide consultation on communication strategies and supports to our Foundation's programs
Provide technical support and consultation to The Learning Academy Palm Beach County Public Charter School housed on our campus on an as needed basis
Create necessary materials to support a variety of communicative needs to include AAC systems and strategies
Create and conduct professional development webinars for the E-TEAM learning series on an as needed basis
Support the training and scheduling of speech-language university practicum students with oversight from the Lead SLP and the Program Director
Work collaboratively with the program & services clinical team to develop new and innovative programs
