Description
We are looking for energetic and customer focused Front of House Staff to take and deliver orders. You’ll be the face of our restaurant and responsible for our customers’ experiences. Responsibilities include ensuring our tables are clean and tidy when guests arrive, presenting menus and explaining the ordering process. You will also be bussing tables and cleaning as needed. You need to be quick on your feet (literally and metaphorically) and have a polite and friendly attitude. If you enjoy talking to people and thrive in a fast-paced workplace, we’d like to meet you. Your ultimate goal will be to provide high-quality service that will help us maintain and attract customers.
We are also looking for a server that may want to work in the bar and start learning or has experience in that part of the business.
Duties and responsibilities
- Prepare restaurant tables with special attention to sanitation and speed
- Greet customers upon entrance, explaining the ordering process
- Present restaurant menus and help customers select food/beverages
- Take and serve orders, suggest specialty drinks and up-sell appetizers and desserts
- Work with other FOH and kitchen staff to ensure quality food is being served in a timely manner
- Deal with complaints or problems with a positive attitude – deferring to a manager or lead if the situation is not quickly resolved.
- Use all daily, weekly, monthly checklists as required
- Ensure the restaurant stays neat and clean at all times
- Promptly report safety, equipment and food quality problems to Restaurant Owner
Qualifications & Requirements
- Proven restaurant serving experience, hands-on experience in cashier duties a big plus
- Attention to cleanliness and safety
- Patience and customer-oriented approach
- Excellent people skills with a friendly attitude

Working conditions
- Must be able to work in hot conditions for extended periods of time (80-100 degrees)
- Must be able to work in cold conditions for short periods of time (10-40 degrees)
- Must be able to safely work around chemicals commonly used in restaurant and kitchen environments
Physical requirements
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time while working (2-6hours at a time)
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
- Frequent bending, turning, shifting, kneeling walking and lifting of common kitchen items will be required throughout each shift.
- Must be able to work around all common foods including but not limited to fruits, nuts, raw meats and shell fish that would commonly be found in a restaurant kitchen environment
