About the Team
The Disney Branded Television (DBT) Acquisitions & Partnerships team is part of the Platform Distribution group for Disney Entertainment! On the Acquisitions side, we work with the Disney Channel, Disney Junior, and Disney XD programming teams to identify high-quality third-party content that supports our brands. On the Partnerships side, we collaborate closely with our content partners, both internal and external, to support our acquired titles.
What You Will Do
- Own the submissions' log by logging and updating with content submissions and materials.
- Review potential acquisitions, screen materials, read scripts for coverage, and attend pitch meetings.
- Coordinate meeting agendas and build monthly meeting presentations on Powerpoint.
- Maintain various internal Box folders and systems.
- Assist in prioritizing all aspects of the global team’s attendance at industry events and markets (like MIPJunior and MIPCOM in October) and coordinate the sharing/filing/tracking of follow-up materials.
Responsibilities
- Strong interest in kids’ TV content, affinity for the Disney Channel family of brands is a plus
- Ability to communicate openly and honestly, both written and verbal
- Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Meticulous with high standards of quality excellence
- Ability to collaborate with and build positive relationships with key partners
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize project workflow in a fast-paced environment
- Positive can-do attitude with strong initiative and follow through
- Skilled in Airtable, Box, and Microsoft Office software (Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, PowerPoint, Word, Excel). Proficiency in Airtable and Box is strongly preferred.
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
- All students must have unrestricted work authorization and be at least 18 years old
- You must currently be enrolled in an accredited college or university and taking at least one class – OR – be a recent graduate of an accredited college or university within the last 6 months - OR - be currently participating in the Disney College Program, Disney Culinary Program or Disney Professional Internship Program in order to qualify for this internship.
- All candidates must be available from May to August and able to work up to 40 hours/week
- Interns must provide their own housing and transportation for the duration of the internship
