Job description

In this role, you will provide technical assistance and support for computer systems, hardware, and software to both staff and participants. As a Desktop Support Technician, you will have the opportunity to work in a diverse and collaborative environment that values the uniqueness of each constituent. You will play a vital role in ensuring that computer systems are functioning effectively, thereby enabling staff and participants to have a seamless experience. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  Provide departmental support:

 Provide effective training for staff and participants on the proper use of computer systems and software.

The starting salary for this position is $55K - $60K annually. The salary offered will ultimately be determined by the scope of the position, the candidate’s relevant experience, and internal equity.

Skills and Abilities:

Physical Requirements:

Able to work well in a busy, dynamic and sometimes noisy environment involving multiple tasks and priorities. Able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Able to sit and kneel as needed in dealing with equipment.

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted at the JCC’s discretion to meet minimum criteria .

JCC Greater Boston is a nonprofit organization with roots in earlier Settlement Houses and Young Men’s Hebrew Associations; JCC Greater Boston today offers a wide range of services and program activities throughout the Greater Boston region (~50,000 individuals annually in 98 communities). The organization provides a variety of programs and services to children and adults in the Greater Boston Jewish community including preschools, day camps, a regional model of Jewish family engagement, a fully equipped fitness and aquatic center, arts and culture classes, performances, lectures, and Jewish holiday celebrations.
