Overview : Canterbury School is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a School Registrar. As a pivotal member of the administrative school staff, the School Registrar will be responsible for managing student records, scheduling, and academic data to ensure the smooth functioning of our educational institution. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in scheduling software, particularly Blackbaud, and will demonstrate proficiency in maintaining accurate and confidential student records.
Responsibilities:
Master Schedule Preparation:
- Organize and coordinate activities related to the preparation of the master schedule.
- Input data into the computer system for generating schedules and managing schedule changes.
Student Records and Scheduling
- Handle computer work related to student records and scheduling, including preparing, compiling, and entering information online.
- Generate specific lists, reports, schedules, and academic reports.
- Configure grading periods and publish academic reports.
Enrollment Management:
- Manage student course enrollments and maintain accurate records.
Academic Record Archives:
- Maintain student academic records archives, including grade reports, transcripts, health records, and college counseling documents.
Grading and Reporting
- Compute student grade point averages.
- Coordinate the grading process, including verification and correction of grades and publication of report cards.
International Student Monitoring
- Coordinate and monitor international student entrance and grade exportation.
General Administrative Support:
- Assist campus administration and college counselors with the preparation of reports and student data information.
Data Integrity and Management
- Commit to the integrity and accuracy of data and develop workflows for maintaining high-quality.
- Manage transcript requests.
- Stay abreast of changes, updates, and new features within the data systems used.
Collaboration and Process Improvement:
- Collaborate with all divisions and other departments to improve processes related to course registration, scheduling, and academic records.
- Strive to learn new processes, workflows, and systems quickly and completely.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher (Education or related field is preferred)
- Experience and proficiency in scheduling software (Blackbaud)
- Experience with Canvas integration is desirable
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt to changes and learn new processes quickly
