Job description
The Senior Manager, Retail Creative will play a key role in a team of designers tasked with the design and development of innovative branded retail experiences for the National Geographic brand. They will work collaboratively with the Retail and Creative leadership team concepting and executing in a broad spectrum of retail environments from physical retail to ecommerce/digital retail.
The Senior Manager, Retail Creative will report to the Director, Retail Creative.
This is a Full-Time role.
Project management and design development on retail stores, retail style guides.
Design Toolkit production and maintenance.
Balance key stakeholders, manage Disney IP, and maintain design intent with external retailers and collaborators.
Provide creative direction and approvals for external collaborators and licensees.
Hands-on spatial designer capable of producing design concepts grounded in brand storytelling, with a passion for the guest experience.
Experienced project manager who works independently, skilled in time management and juggling multiple projects, calendars, and deadlines.
Possesses graphic design and brand design skills and has an eye for retail environmental and digital graphics.
A designer familiar with bidding, budgets, the VE process, detailing, construction documents, and able to collaborate with development teams to achieve high quality design execution.
A retail lover who is passionate about inter-disciplinary, multi-media design and the evolving landscape of retail.
Ability to learn and adapt quickly and work in a constantly evolving environment.
5+ years experience in a combination of architectural design, interior design, graphic design, brand design for a company or creative agency.
Expert skills in 3d modeling (Rhino, Sketchup, 3DS, etc.), Adobe Suite, 3d rendering (Enscape, VRay, etc.).
Outstanding design vision with proven track record of delivering innovative retail experiences.
Knowledge of retail operations and visual merchandising best practices, with proven experience in retail execution.
Technical proficiency required to design fixtures and architectural details
Ability to effectively present and communicate creative ideas and concepts to cross-functional teams.
Excellent interpersonal skills, with diplomacy and a collaborative spirit.

The hiring range for this position in California is $109,300 to $150,200 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.Job tags
