Job description
Vaco has partnered with a long-standing client to hire a Practice Administrator for their specialty practice. Our client is seeking a highly organized professional to oversee the operation of the healthcare facility. The Practice Administrator will be responsible for managing daily operations, financial activities, human resources, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. This role requires excellent leadership skills, the ability to multitask effectively, and a dedication to delivering high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities: - Oversee daily operations, ensuring smooth workflow and efficient patient care delivery.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to optimize operational efficiency.
- Coordinate with medical staff to ensure adequate staffing levels and optimal patient scheduling.
- Manage inventory and supplies to ensure availability and cost-effectiveness.
- Prepare and manage the practice budget, including revenue forecasting and expense monitoring.
- Monitor billing and collections processes to ensure timely and accurate payment.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial performance and implement strategies to achieve financial goals.
- Recruit, train, and supervise administrative staff, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff members.
- Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and professional growth.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations and accreditation standards.
- Stay abreast of changes in healthcare laws and regulations and implement necessary changes to policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records to facilitate audits and inspections.
- Implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care outcomes.
- Monitor patient satisfaction and address any concerns or complaints in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with medical staff to implement best practices and ensure quality patient care delivery.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field is required. (Master's degree preferred).
- Proven experience in healthcare administration, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Multi-site, clinical experience is required.
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and healthcare management software.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Certification in Healthcare Administration (e.g., Certified Medical Practice Executive) is a plus.
