Pre-Sales Solutions Architect

Job description
As a Pre-sales Solutions Architect, you will play a critical role in winning new businesses by helping our customer understand the value of our capabilities in multiple technology domains such as cloud services, DevSecOps, application development and cybersecurity. In addition, you will be instrumental in conveying our capabilities and experiences as technical lead during proposal development. The successful candidate will have strong presentation and technical writing skills.
Responsibilities:
- Able to present, demonstrate, and articulate technical solutions in a concise, clear, and convincing way to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Work closely with business development to learn the customer’s requirements, mission, pain points and propose the best technical solutions for sales opportunities
- Analyze RFx pipeline opportunities and support no/no-go decisions based on alignment with our capabilities and experiences
- As the Technical Lead, collaborate with the assigned proposal manager to lead the development of proposals that align with the customer desired outcomes
- Interview account owner and SMEs to articulate the best technical approach and solution to meet or exceed RFx requirements
- Support internal prototyping and solutions development of new offerings to current or future customers
- Lead technical discussions in all aspects of the technical sales cycle to include product demonstrations, technical presentations, and requirements analysis
- Provide thought leadership and creativity to brainstorm and author innovative and competitive technical approaches/solutions, differentiators, win-themes and to structure these approaches into proposal storyboards and outlines to support proposal development efforts
- Collaborate with SMEs, leverage proposal content library, or research independently to acquire knowledge to write proposal content
Experience Requirements:
- Education: Minimum of high school diploma (Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar technical discipline preferred)
- Experience: At least 5 years supporting pre-sales experience with presentations and sales solution engineering. Additionally, the candidate should have proposal writing experience. Formal proposal technical certification in cloud, proposal development training is preferred
- Domain: At least 3 years’ experience in one or more technology domains in cloud computing, DevSecOps, applications development and cybersecurity services industry
- Certification: Azure professional certification (Azure Solutions Architect Expert preferred)
Clearance:
- U.S. Citizenship is preferred but green card holder is acceptable
- Must be willing to undergo and pass a Public Trust background investigation
Work Location:
- Remote with a preference for candidates located in or within a commutable distance from TechTrend’s Fairfax, Virginia headquarters
