Job description
We are looking for an Estimator to provide accurate estimates of materials and labor associated with roofing projects. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing cost estimates, managing bids, and handling proposals for commercial roofing projects. The ideal candidate will have excellent estimating abilities, knowledge of roofing, and experience with edge software, vendor quotes, permit costs, quantifying costs, construction documents, WhitCommand, project management, cost review, project scheduling, value engineering, and technical knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop accurate cost estimates for roofing projects.
- Manage bids and handle proposals in a timely manner.
- Source materials and negotiate with vendors for competitive pricing.
- Ensure accuracy of all cost estimates.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Review construction documents for accuracy.
- Utilize WhitCommand and other related software to generate estimates.
- Perform project management tasks such as cost review and project scheduling.
- Perform value engineering and technical knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience as an Estimator, preferably in the roofing industry.
- Excellent estimating abilities.
- Knowledge of roofing and estimating software.
- Ability to source materials and negotiate with vendors for competitive pricing.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Excellent project management and cost review skills.
- Strong understanding of value engineering and technical knowledge.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines.
