Title: VRU Mechanic

Location: Carlsbad, Jal, NM and Surrounding Areas

Schedule: 10/4 Schedule (10 Days on; 4 Days Off)

Hours: 10 - 12 Hour Days

Pay: $30 - $35/hr

*** Please Be Aware this is not an “Office” Position, This is a “Field” Position. Expect to work alongside The Operations Superintendent/Foreman***

Hierarchy Breakdown:

Reports to: The Operations Superintendent/Foreman located in the New Mexico Field Office.

Works Directly Alongside: The Construction Superintendent Onsite on construction projects.

VRU Mechanic will have the Knowledge and Ability to Perform the Following:

Record operational data, such as temperatures, pressures, ingredients used, processing times, or test results.

Patrol work areas to detect leaks or equipment malfunctions or to monitor operating conditions.

Draw samples of products at specified stages so that analyses can be performed.

Monitor gauges, recording instruments, flowmeters, or products to ensure that specified conditions are maintained.

Inspect equipment or units to detect leaks or malfunctions, shutting equipment down, if necessary.

Estimate materials required for production and manufacturing of products.

Direct activities of workers assisting in control or verification of processes or in unloading of materials.

Top Focus of this Position:

This person should have some experience with Vapor Recovery Units, lease operations, compressors, and some I&E background.

Will supervise all facility electrical, grounding, end device, commissioning including loop checks on facilities containing VRU equipment, SWD pumps, and associated oil and saltwater tank batteries.

Working with combustors, compressors, VRU, and pneumatic valves. Used blue prints to design battery and well locations

Salary: $30.00 to $35.00 /hour
