Location: Remote (Open to applicants in IL, MN, & PA)
POSITION SUMMARY
The Director of Safety and Compliance is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of safety are maintained throughout MCE, fostering a culture of safety awareness, and implementing comprehensive safety programs to mitigate risks. This role must successfully collaborate cross-functionally across all MCE sites to create safe work environments for all employees. Having the ability to plan strategically, analyze opportunities, and proactively create safety programs is a key expectation of this position as we grow and expand our organization. Additional responsibilities include the development and continuous improvement of the safety planning process, as well as the ongoing monitoring of compliance with our safety and ISO programs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Provide leadership and direction in all areas of risk assessment, safety and loss prevention, regulatory compliance, security, and emergency response plans across all functional areas of the
- Champion the company safety council and mentor operational safety committees.
- Develop leading safety metrics to identify actionable safety targets and incident root cause
- Leverage lessons learned to develop a continuous improvement safety
- Implement and manage training programs emphasizing best practices and compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Monitor all incidents , reporting trends, and projections required to set safety goals for each department/MCE entity.
- Develop, implement, and monitor compliance with the organization's risk management policies and

- Ensure the company's adherence to federal, state, and local safety laws, regulations, and codes, and that OSHA recordkeeping and reporting requirements are met.
- Assist site management with safety investigations, root cause analysis, and develop corrective actions as needed.
- Work with site management to ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Represent MCE during regulatory audits and inspections.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory program requirements, including FMCSA and ISO.
- Respond to and manage customer safety requests using various online platforms.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5-7 years of Safety and Compliance background
- Demonstrated record of strong leadership and willingness to drive change to enhance safety and environmental behaviors across the organization
- Minimum of five years of EH&S experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards
- Prior experience with risk management and w orker's compensation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Proactive and entrepreneurial mindset, strong analytical skills, and tech-savvy
- Strategic orientation mindset with building, planning, and problem-solving experiences
- ISO standards knowledge and management experience
- Energetic, positive, innovative, and organized
- Ability to effectively articulate strategy, plans, and tactics via written and verbal
