Hours: Four or five day work week with various hours up to 28 hours per week, including at least one weekend day / week
Hiring Range - $16.00 - $17.00 DOQ
JOB SUMMARY
Under the direct supervision of the Rental Services Supervisor, will be responsible for assisting with rental customer service in both booking and execution of parties / rentals / group visits offered within the Elk Grove Park District.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- First line of representation of inquiries within the rentals department.
- Clearly communicates knowledge of offerings of all parties/groups/facility rentals to customers.
- Responsible for accurately processing transactions in RecTrac (web based software).
- Responsible for cash handling and necessary accounting processes.
- Update communication management systems daily.
- Coordinate appointments with clients, prepare and manage room reservations, contracts, and related documents.
- Assist with staff updates regarding schedule changes and tasks..
- Ensure customer needs are met and issues communicated to appropriate staff promptly.
- Monitor and evaluate execution of parties/group and facility rentals, as assigned.
- Assist with weekly inventory and observations within the department.
- Performs the job safely and in compliance with district policies, procedures, work and safety rules.
- Be familiar with the safe operation of any equipment necessary in accomplishing required tasks.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of overall party and rental management with an emphasis on packages, pricing and customer service.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills required.
- Skill in working with computers and database software.
- Ability to demonstrate effective decision making and problem solving skills.
- Good knowledge of pertinent safety precautions.
- Ability to maintain positive and effective working relationships with other employees.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma. Prior customer service or sales experience required .
