Job description

Job Function: Responsible for designing, supervising, and at times performing the ongoing operations and services provided by the agency (including recruiting and maintaining a well-trained, effective, and supported staff), maintains a strong funding base, represents the agency’s services in the community, assuring effective working relationships among the disciplines and agencies essential to the Harbor House’s success. Direct Service Provider. (Examples: CASA Pre-Service Volunteer training leader for every class of CASA volunteers and Backup Forensic Interviewer for cases referred to Harbor House by investigative partners DFCS, DA, or LE.) Qualifications include graduate level work in a related field and true passion for victim services. Must maintain Qualifications and ongoing professional growth including peer reviews, advanced executive leadership and coordination training, and conference attendance.

Required Qualifications:

Administrative, fundraising and grants management experience.

Working knowledge of child advocacy centers and services provided

Successful managerial experience with both budgets and personnel.

Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.

Outgoing, results-oriented work style with high attention to detail.

No criminal convictions of child abuse or violent crimes.

Desired Qualifications:

Prior experience working with a Board of Directors.

Prior experience facilitating Multi-Disciplinary Team meetings

Strategic Planning experience.

Diversity Equity Inclusion Belonging training and experience.

Advanced facilitation training.

Position Responsibilities:

> Assure a professional, safe, comfortable, non-threatening environment at Harbor House.

> Develop and implement policies, procedures, and protocols under the direction of the Board of Directors.

> Assist with the execution of client based advocate services as well as the identification and development of client based services, programs, and educational events in collaboration with staff.

> Assure that the Child Advocacy Center is staffed at all times with a full team of child sexual abuse specialists, and provide direct services including (potentially) Forensic Interviews during situations when certain staff is not available.

> Consistently monitor direct services to clients while maintaining ongoing supervision of client services in order to always provide support to staff conducting the services.

> Potential: CASA Pre-Service Training Leader (ToF Training Certified) for all CASA Classes facilitate no less than three of the training sessions and participate throughout the process of training and subsequent evaluation.

> Provide staff support as well as direct service analysis and explanation to the Board of Directors.

> Assure that the Floyd County CASA Program is staffed at all times, and provide direct services including CASA Volunteer Training in collaboration with CASA staff and Floyd CASA Program Manager.

> Work with the Board leadership to organize Board Meetings and Executive Board Meetings.

> Ensure the successful facilitation of Polk and Floyd Multidisciplinary Team meetings in collaboration with the MDT Coordinator and provide ongoing client based service training to members.

> Maintain and enhance direct service communication and coordination among Multidisciplinary Team agencies and members of the KIDzCouncil.

> Assure compliance with all National Children’s Alliance (NCA) and Children’s Advocacy Centers of Georgia (CACGA), and Georgia CASA (GACASA) accreditation standards.

> Evaluate services provided as well as overall program effectiveness, including seeking out and obtaining input from clients and other agencies regarding the performance of client based services at both the Child Advocacy Center and Floyd CASA.

> Represent Harbor House and Floyd CASA and their services at local, regional, and state meetings, as well as during community events

> Develop and manage annual budgets and financial procedures for both Floyd CASA and the Child Advocacy Center.

> Development of a funding plan in conjunction with the Board of Directors Finance Committee and secure sufficient funding to assure financial resources for all Harbor House and Floyd CASA activities and services.

> Conduct management and reporting for all existing and future grants in collaboration with CAC staff and CASA Program Manager.

> Supervise, and at times also conduct, client based services to include family intake, forensic interview and child therapy scheduling, and case management/record keeping.

> Conduct client based services data collection, analysis, and statistical reporting.

> Supervise regional elementary school prevention programs.

> Assure that the site is supplied with materials and equipment in good working order.

> Other assignments as directed.

Performance Evaluation/Professional Growth :

The Executive Director will be formally evaluated by the Board of Directors on an annual basis.

Opportunities for Professional Growth and goal setting will be a part of this evaluation.
