The RMPM Sales Support intern provides additional support to the statewide Underwriting team in working to secure underwriting and sponsorship for our multi-media portfolio of assets including Rocky Mountain Public Television, Create, World, PBS Kids 24/7 television channels, KUVO and THE DROP radio and RMPM digital sales.

The intern position supports existing and new business relationships through a "value-aligned partnership" sales approach. The Sales Support intern reports to the Sales Support Specialist and will learn basic audience research and how to articulate findings in sales tools, presentations, meetings and client prospecting. Will also learn the basics of the Colorado media landscape and gain an understanding of the value and differences of non-profit media support versus commercial media sales.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Work with Sales Support team on research and conducting due-diligence to help increase sales opportunities.
• Support team in liaising with Creative Services (Audience Development), TV/Radio/Digital Traffic, Events, Radio and Radio promotions, Digital, Data and various RMPM departments as may be required.
• Help coordinate with team members to ensure on timely completion of proposals, recaps, traffic instructions, contracts, and data.
• Support team with presentations, recaps, one-sheets, research analysis, case studies as may be assigned.
• Train on RMPM's Business Partnerships systems, e.g. Salesforce, Strata, Prime Lingo and others as may be needed.
• Attend revenue related promotions meetings with radio, events and TV teams and coordinates execution with account executives.
• Help provide customer service/communication with AE's to clients, vendors and internal staff.
• Attend weekly sales team meetings to support both annual/individual and team goals.
• Actively participate in RMPM's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) training program.
• Represents KUVO Jazz (89.3), THE DROP (104.7) and Rocky Mountain PBS with values-aligned behavior at all times.
• Other duties, as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications of Position

• High school degree or equivalent
• Must be currently enrolled in, or have recently completed, a program at an accredited college, university, or technical school
• A mix of demonstrated skills, abilities and knowledge will be considered in place of education requirements
• Interest in learning media sales/sales support, promotions, events, or related business
• Willing to learn and articulate the value of RMPM's brands: KUVO Jazz (89.3), THE DROP (104.7) and Rocky Mountain PBS and other media options in the Colorado media landscape.
• Strong productivity, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize effectively and be goal-oriented

Preferred Qualifications of Position

• Knowledge of the communities served by RMPM in Colorado
• Digital asset creation and management.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Weekend and evening hours may occasionally be required
