Job Title: Staff Software Engineer (Backend)
Requirements: TypeScript, Microservices
Salary: $145-210k
Location: Remote

We are a rapidly growing biotech startup based out of San Francisco! Our focus is to generate insights on infectious diseases utilizing the power of Artificial Intelligence. Using a single blood sample, our non-invasive test can rapidly detect over 1000 pathogens that cause both deep-seated and bloodstream infections. What You Will Be Doing

- follow Domain Driven Design to clearly document the system architecture, service design and the interfaces
- drive microservices on the backend; microservices are written in TypeScript using Nest.js
- deploy your own software in a dev and test environment
- ensure the software services meet expected quality gates
- collaborate with QA, Product Management, Lab Operations and more

What You Need for this Position

- 10+ years of software engineering experience
- BS or MS in Computer Science
- A strong understanding of domain-driven design and function programming
- Experience with deploying microservices
- TypeScript backend stack using Node.js framework
- Kafka or related technologies
- Experience using REST, GraphQL, no-SQL/SQL databases & ORMs
- Jira, Confluence, or Git experience

Nice to Haves:
- Understanding of GraphQL is very helpful
- Nest.js
- Experience in healthcare, life sciences industries
