Position Overview : The Compliance Manager at Sanford Federal, Inc is responsible for ensuring full compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies pertaining to our government contracting operations. This key role involves developing and implementing comprehensive compliance policies and procedures, providing necessary training to employees, actively monitoring compliance activities, and reporting on compliance issues to senior management.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement robust compliance policies and procedures specific to government contracting.
- Conduct regular compliance audits to proactively identify potential areas of risk and non-compliance.
- Provide comprehensive training sessions to employees, focusing on compliance issues relevant to government contracting.
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations that may impact our company's operations in the government contracting sector.
- Ensure that all required licenses and permits are obtained and effectively maintained.
- Thoroughly investigate any suspected violations of laws or regulations, promptly addressing and mitigating any identified risks.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on compliance activities for senior management, highlighting key findings, recommendations, and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate closely with other departments to ensure that all business practices align with and adhere to the applicable regulatory framework.
- Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends and best practices related to compliance management in government contracting.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business, law, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Experience in a compliance role, preferably within the government contracting industry.
- Demonstrated expertise in relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to government contracting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey complex compliance concepts and requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional analytical skills to identify potential compliance risks and develop appropriate solutions.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team, fostering a culture of compliance throughout the organization.
- Proven track record of successfully implementing compliance programs within an organization.
