DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The Houston Parks and Recreation Department is dedicated to building a sustainable community and enhancing the quality of urban life by providing safe well-maintained parks and offering affordable programming for our community. To achieve this mission, HPARD is seeking a Senior Data Entry Operator (Seasonal) to join its Recreation and Wellness team.
The potential candidate will play a key role in the following duties:
WORKING CONDITIONS
The position occasionally requires stooping or bending. Occasional very light lifting, such as three or four reams of papers or books (up to 20 pounds or an equivalent weight) may be required.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation and mathematical functions as might be acquired through specialized training of up to 9 months of education or training beyond the high school level. May have simple vocational competence in the operation of mechanical or electronic equipment.


EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Two (2) years of data entry experience or clerical/secretarial experience with a heavy volume of typing are required.
