Job description
This is a remote position.
Stratera is seeking a Business Analyst to support our customer with the implementation of a system using SharePoint and the MS Power Platform. In this role you will work with stakeholders business users and project teams to understand and document the customers business requirements. Success will require a systematic approach to researching analyzing and defining requirements defining those requirements along with assisting with the prioritization of features based on impact to the customers organization.
Responsibilities
To be successful in this position you will:
- Coordinate and actively participate in gathering customer requirements to ensure a comprehensive understanding of business needs.
- Analyze and assess the design of business processes evaluating their integration with technology systems and identifying areas for improvement.
- Effectively translate and document enduser requirements into detailed specifications providing a clear foundation for the design and development of SharePoint solutions.
- Create detailed business process flow charts that graphically depict customer business processes aiding in the visualization and understanding of workflows.
- Identify opportunities to streamline refine and reduce redundancy within customer business processes using process reengineering practices and principles.
- Actively promote and leverage new collaborative capabilities available within SharePoint to enhance efficiency and increase productivity for endusers.
- Contribute to internal business processes related to SharePoint customizations and lifecycle management.
- Participate in documentation requirements gathering and analysis testing and the development of best practices for SharePoint solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in a technical or business field with 2 5 years (or commensurate experience)
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst with a focus on business process analysis and requirements gathering.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with SharePoint and its collaborative capabilities.
- Familiarity with Power Platform and how to use it to improve and automate business processes.
- Knowledge of process reengineering practices and principles.
- Proficiency in creating detailed business process flow charts.
Ideally you also have:
- Experience working with the U.S. Army especially with any of the following groups: AMCOM Redstone Arsenal (ACCRSA) PEO Aviation PEO Missiles and Space or SMDC.
- Relevant certifications (IIBA PMI SPC Lean Six Sigma etc.)
