Job Title: Deburr Technician Job Category: Operations Department/Group: Deburr Exempt/Non Non-Exempt Level/Salary Range: Position Type: Full Time Position Job Description Duties/Responsibilities: • Set up and operate grinding and related tools that remove excess material or burrs from surfaces, sharpen edges or corners, or buff or polish metal work pieces • Mounts and positions tools in machine chunks, spindles, or other tool holding devices, using hand tools • Inspects or measures finished work pieces to determine conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as gauges or micrometers. • Activate machine start-up switches to grind, lap, debar, shear, or cut work pieces, according to specifications • Lift and position work pieces, manually and secures them in hoppers or on machine tables, faceplates, or chunks, using clamps • Measure work pieces and lay out work, using precision measuring devices Required Skills/Abilities: • Knowledge of blueprints, engineering specifications, and CNC machines • Be self-motivated and driven to perform at the highest level of quality • Aerospace industry knowledge is highly desired • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, being punctual, and working well in a fast-paced organization. Education and Experience: • High School Diploma or GED • 1+ years’ experience in aircraft manufacturing Physical Requirements: • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds as well as stand, sit, bend, kneel, squat and walk on a regular basis
