Now, let's talk about your responsibilities.
As a Residential Service Electrician with us, you'll participate in weekly huddles with the Electric Service Manager. Diagnose & repair residential electric applications per Local and National Codes. Inspect electric systems and equipment for any defects and provide the customer with repair/replacement options. Communicate daily with dispatch in order to schedule work orders in a timely manner. Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem. Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of the system. Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with all electrical codes. Accurately estimate and invoice repairs and projects. Demonstrate Safe working practices and methods. Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks such as digging trenches, lifting heavy objects, crawling through small spaces, and being able to work in the cold and heat. Work with other departmental managers to meet company and departmental goals and objectives. And ensure that all company/department policies are being followed by all technicians.
