Description: As part of a major new initiative in decentralization through blockchains and their applications, Princeton University invites applications for a faculty position at the junior or senior level (Assistant, tenured Associate, or Full Professor rank) across all areas of engineering and at the intersection of engineering with the social sciences and the humanities. Fields of interest include blockchains, cryptocurrencies, their applications, and the decentralization of trust and power in society through technology. We are particularly interested in applicants who cross the boundary of blockchain technology and applications of the technology. Demonstrated interest in the governance of blockchains and applications is beneficial. We seek faculty members who will create a climate that embraces excellence and diversity, with a strong commitment to teaching and mentoring. The faculty hire will contribute to the momentum already building across Princeton University in blockchains and their applications. Applicants must have a strong record of research productivity, demonstrate the ability or potential to develop a rigorous research program, and be committed to teaching and mentoring at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
