Job description
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's Degree in the social sciences, public health, allied health, education or related field with experience in community outreach, health promotion, health education and/or injury prevention is required
- Two (2) years’ experience in an in-patient, ambulatory or community health agency setting is preferred.
- Effective communication skills, including experience with public speaking and/or providing educational presentations is required. Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
A valid Texas State DL operator’s license “Class C” and must maintain a clean Motor Vehicle Record.
Community Health Worker certification or Certified Health Education Specialist status is preferred.
Must be willing to obtain CPR and Child Passenger Safety Technician certification within 6 months of hire.
