Manager Americas FSO Consulting - Insurance The opportunity: We are seeking highly motivated sales individuals with a start-up spirit and technical expertise to join our EY Nexus team. This is an opportunity to join an established organization while playing a key role in the evolution of our EY Nexus platform and product suite. The Presales Product Specialist will be part of the EY Nexus sales team working across Insurance solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to solve a wide range of complex challenges for leading Insurance organizations and be at the forefront of transformation in the financial services industry. The Presales Product Specialist is responsible for shaping and selling the overall Nexus opportunity to the client. This is a product-minded individual who understands the industry domain, client's business challenges and how to leverage the right elements of the Nexus platform. They help to "quarterback" the deal, pulling in the relevant parties necessary and working closely with the account team to convert opportunities to sales. This is an individual with a contemporary technology background (architecture, engineering, etc.) who will have a deep technical understanding of the Nexus assets and how they will be used and priced in each deal. This individual should have client-facing and technology sales experience. Key responsibilities: Work with clients to understand problem/opportunity areas and determine how to shape the solution leveraging Nexus Understand client scope, requirements, and shape the technical solution architecture Take point on pitching technical aspects of Nexus to clients, including providing demos and capability walkthroughs Create proposals and other pursuit collateral; support with RFI/RFP responses Support in sizing and estimating models to arrive at pricing for each opportunity Support in drafting statements of work (including technology design), working with account teams to negotiate terms and conditions, and working through EY's quality process Ensure pricing structure and commercial treatments are clearly communicated to account teams and clients, setting clear expectations for support and maintenance post-engagement Help transfer knowledge to delivery teams to ensure a smooth handover from sales to delivery, to ensure adequate staffing of projects Support in shaping and executing GTM product campaigns including development of client-facing sales collateral (e.g., product factsheet) Work with Nexus Insurance Sector Leader and Insurance Presales Team to manage the Nexus pipeline and help qualify pursuits Possess a strong technical understanding of the "menu" of Nexus capabilities and understand how to assemble assets for each deal Possess a strong understanding of EY Financial Services Consulting offerings; collaborate with Sector teams to align relevant Nexus capabilities for an integrated go-to-market strategy Collaborate closely with the Nexus product team to identify gaps in client solutions and determine what is added to backlog Provide input on market trends and client needs to the Nexus product team to help inform strategy and roadmap, and ensure continuous evolution of Nexus Showcase Nexus capabilities and articulate success stories at industry conferences and events Skills and attributes for success: Strong understanding of the Insurance sector, especially P&C Understanding of modern technology principles including: Event streaming / stream-based processing Reactive microservices design Containerization Cloud infrastructure and architecture Ability to determine which Nexus capabilities are relevant to each opportunity Understanding of how to estimate and size deals based on scope of work Understanding of the Nexus commercialization model, including how we license and price our assets, as well as how we manage Intellectual Property rights Flexibility and willingness to work with other EY Sector teams outside of Insurance To qualify for the role, you must have: BS/BA required 5-7 years of product or business operations experience Experience creating custom client pitch materials and leading product demos Experience with internal sales enablement, helping convince key stakeholders and decision makers about the value of solutions Strong relationship management abilities to work effectively with clients, vendors, account and product teams Ability to explain technical information in a manner that is clearly understood by non-technical clients A start-up/entrepreneurial mentality, with an eagerness to own projects through to fruition A high energy level, sense of urgency, decisiveness, and an ability to work well under pressure Flexibility to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity, and rapid change Experience implementing on-prem solutions/packaged software Experience with modern DevSecOps, including continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) methods and tools Willingness to travel Ideally, you'll also have Experience prospecting new opportunities Experience with sales of both technology (e.g., products) and services (e.g., consulting) Experience with the following technologies: Reactive Microservices: Java, SpringBoot, WebFlux, Akka Actor, Spring Reactor Distribute Computing components: e.g. Apache Kafka, Apache Flink, Akka Streams DevSecOps: e.g. Kubernetes, CICD pipeline, Git, Jenkins/Gitlab Databases: e.g. MongoDB, Apache Cassandra, Neo4J Rule Engines: e.g. Camunda, Drools, DMN JavaScript Frameworks: ReactJS, AngularJS What we look for If you're passionate about problem-solving and helping our clients address their most complex issues, this role is for you. What we offer We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you'll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The salary range for this job in most geographic locations in the US is $128,400 to $235,400. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $154,100 to $267,500. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Under our flexible vacation policy, you'll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances.
