Job description
Animal Clinic of Rapid City, SD is looking for an Associate Veterinarian. We are interested in speaking with new grads (Mentorship provided), internship trained, or experienced DVMs. We are looking for a candidate to join our team Summer 2024.
We are a progressive 8 Doctor Practice that has a team based approach to medicine and mentorship. We believe in providing high quality compassionate care to our patients and enjoy a collaborative and positive work environment with our patient’s wellbeing in mind.
Our schedule encourages a healthy work life balance with doctors working 3-4 shifts per week, rotating weekends and evenings. We offer an attractive compensation, and benefits package.
OUR HOSPITAL
We are currently in the process of building a new clinic. We expect to move into our new clinic in summer 2024.
We are building a spacious hospital with 10 exam rooms, 2 comfort rooms with outdoor access, two well equipped small animal surgery suites, a dental suite with 2 dental tables, a large treatment area with an ICU for our hospital patients, separate dog and cat housing areas in the hospital, a large oxygen cage.
Our Idexx in-house lab is state of the art making our diagnostic capabilities second to none. Our hospital uses digital x-ray, digital dental x-ray, endoscopy, ultrasound, orthopedic equipment, gas anesthesia and all our patients are monitored with - pulse ox, EKG, blood pressure .
THE AREA
We are located in the Black Hills of South Dakota, close to Mount Rushmore. The area is known for hiking, camping, mountain biking, fishing, hunting, water skiing, rock climbing, ice climbing, snowshoeing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, trail riding and rodeo. If you enjoy the outdoors you will love it here!!
Rapid City has a population of 70,000 with the surrounding area of about 130,000 and is rapidly growing.
The area offers wonderful affordable places to live and enjoy the outdoors, with a low crime rate, great schools, numerous churches, excellent community events such as: concerts, symphonies, theater, movie theaters, horse shows, city league sports, great fitness centers and yoga studios. We have college sporting events, and a semi pro hockey team.
