Role Overview: The Nutanix Unified Storage (NUS) Partner Sales Rep will play a pivotal role in driving Nutanix's Unified Storage software defined data services platform. NUS consolidates storage, management, and protection of files(SMB/NFS) and objects(S3) into a single platform. This individual will be responsible for establishing and nurturing strategic partnerships with Nutanix partners and distributors. This critical role will drive growth and ensure partner success by driving one common program throughout the Nutanix partner infrastructure. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to shape Nutanix's growth and success in the data services landscape.


The Nutanix Unified Storage team is tasked with enabling our customers' data services to allow them to focus on other mission-critical items. By offering seamlessly integrated tools like Data Lense, we create an opportunity for them to eliminate costly data blindness issues. We drive maximization of efficiencies of our hyper-converged infrastructure, which encompasses compute, storage, virtualization, and networking on the Nutanix Hybrid Multi-Cloud Platform.


Your Role


Vision and Strategy: Develop a visionary strategy and execution plan for Nutanix's NUS Partner Ecosystem, defining and tracking key success metrics, that lead to successfully expanding their opportunities overall.


Partner Onboarding: Create cross-functional alignment to facilitate testing, certification, and onboarding new partners to Nutanix Ready Partner Program. Recruit partners with a specific storage focus and skill set.


Collaboration: Align closely with Nutanix Partner Sales Organization to drive joint solution development, technical alignment, and field enablement of our NUS solution. Work closely with NUS field sales team to create and identify new opportunities to accelerate growth.


Internal Alignment: Foster internal alignment by engaging relevant stakeholders and decision-makers across the organization.


Thought Leadership: Serve as a thought leader within NUS, providing insights and expertise on business and strategic issues related to Nutanix's NUS Partner Ecosystem.


What You Will Bring


Experience: Minimum of 8 years' relevant experience in managing technology partnerships within enterprise software, storage, data center, and data services spaces, with a strong network of industry contacts.


Communication skills: Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate professionally with partners, customers, and cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, and Engineering; structured thinker with superior writing, presentation, and problem-solving skills.


Relationship Building: Comfortable establishing strong relationships at all levels, from working-level to executive-level, within partner organizations; Team player with ability to mobilize both industry giants and startups.


Cross-Functional Leadership & Project Management: Ability to manage multiple work streams, assess project urgency, and execute detailed action plans, while collaborating effectively with various teams; Possess cross-functional influence and management skills to engage a broad constituency.


Ethical Standards: Uphold the highest level of personal and professional ethics and integrity.


Business Acumen: Well-informed about major industry trends relevant to Nutanix and the Enterprise Storage market. Strong business acumen and negotiation abilities.


Education: Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related field, or equivalent technical experience preferred.

I joined Nutanix 3 years ago and was chartered to take our SLED business toward a direction of stability and growth. In this role, my SLED team led the company in NUS sales. As a result I was given an opportunity in March of 2023 to build, hire, and enable a new and exciting global business unit for Nutanix focused on our tremendous opportunity to complement our best of breed offerings with an industry-changing storage and data services platform. I have 25 years of relevant experience building and enabling storage companies for growth and success.


I am a proven sales executive with strong track record of success in both software and storage sales leadership roles. Expert at building/re-building sales organizations and structuring them for success and future, non-disruptive growth. Strong experience in securing revenue and implementing storage/infrastructure growth strategies in verticals such as Federal, Public Sector, Energy, Manufacturing, HPC & Research computing markets.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $245,680 and $368,520/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.


If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
