Job description
One of our automotive clients in Mississauga , ON is looking for a Maintenance Supervisor for their facility.
Shift - Day
Responsibilities :
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will collaborate with the Maintenance, Operations, Quality, and Engineering departments.
Your primary responsibility will be overseeing the facilities Maintenance staff to ensure the department meets its objectives, including the upkeep and repair of facilities and production equipment.
You will operate in adherence to FPS Safety, Quality, & Environmental Systems.
Whether in partnership with project engineering or autonomously, you will ensure there are ample skilled resources available and will take a leadership role in maintaining plant equipment.
Your focus will be on providing production support for uninterrupted operations.
You will also be responsible for maintaining equipment according to company standards, which includes implementing preventive/predictive systems, overseeing departmental procurement, and managing wear and spare parts inventory.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Possession of a C of Q in Electrical or Millwright trade, and/or relevant industrial experience. An alternative technical degree may also be considered with a demonstrated track record of relevant experience.
A minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in maintenance and repair activities for CNC machining and automated assembly applications in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with automotive systems and quality requirements.
Exceptional communication, leadership, negotiation, conflict management, and problem-solving abilities.
Capability to effectively engage with individuals at all levels of the organization.
Availability for weekend and rotating shifts.
