Job description
SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR
Bowhead seeks Systems Administrator to support an upcoming effort (NSWC Corona IT proposal) in Corona, CA.
- Systems Administrator administers and supports daily operational requirements of computer network systems including workstation, file servers, and web servers.
- Installation of hardware, software, systems upgrades, network accounts, network security, and web page design, interface and updates, and local system design documentation.
- Cyber WorkForce (CWF) directives are maintained and up to date with respect to certifications
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and implement network security tools including firewalls, anti-virus, and intrusion detection services.
- Lead Systems Administrator trains staff on software applicable to their position, assists customers with information technology, monitors system configuration (hardware and software), and provides instruction on computers and applications.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum of three to seven years’ experience in complex system design, programming, systems software, and support.
- Relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a Secret Security Clearance. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift up to 10-25 pounds
- Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
- Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
