Healthcare Writer & Content Creator

Worldwide Counter Threat Solutions (WCTS) has an opening for a Healthcare Writer & Content Creator as part of a contingent opportunity supporting the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Optimizing Health Care Value Program (OHVP.)

OHVP provides enterprise-wide analysis to validate and optimize the return on investment (ROI) of major strategic initiatives and objectives as identified by VHA leadership.

Work Location:  Local Candidates in the Northern Virginia / DC area only.  Hybrid work model with 2-3 monthly meetings in the Northern VA / DC area, 2 days a week in our Fredericksburg office, and telework.

Hours: Work Hours 8:00am - 4:30pm

Travel:  <15%

Start Date: Immediately

Clearance: NACI

Overview:

The Healthcare Writer & Content Creator will be involved in a wide range of activities including:

• Writing, editing, publishing reports and technical documents.
• Drafting/editing presentations for professional conferences.
• Gathers, analyzes, composes technical information required for preparation of user manuals, training materials, installation guides, proposals, reports, etc.
• Editing functional descriptions, system specifications, user manuals, special reports, SOPs, deliverables, and any other customer documents.
• Conducts research and ensures the use of proper technical terminology.
• Translates technical information into clear, readable documents to be used by technical and non-technical personnel.
• Researching, creating blogs and other media postings, maintaining/expanding contact databases, and other duties assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements

• BA/BS degree.
• A minimum of 4 years’ experience assisting with all internal and external communications of a company and representation of a company.
• Demonstrated experience presenting to senior leadership.
• Demonstrated experience collaborating with stakeholders.
• Demonstrated writing experience with healthcare topics such as: Quality and Patient Safety, High Reliability Organizations, Process Improvement, Health Informatics, etc.
• Ability to pull data and information from different resources and create a formal, technical report.
• Ability to work independently and effectively communicate with stakeholders, co-workers, managers, and customers.
• Must have excellent written and communication skills.
• Must have time management and organizational skills.
• Must demonstrate attention to detail.
• Proficient utilizing Office 365 suite and Adobe.
• Active VA clearance preferred.
