Reports to: DirectorDate: 09/14/2023POSITION SUMMARY
- To assist with health services, and provide leadership in establishing a complete and effective program of school health.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Interpret the school health services to school personnel and students.
- Maintain the school medical clinic and administers medication according to school board policy.
- Administer screening program as required by Virginia school law and school board policy.
- Assist in the provision of support services to students with disabilities.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the division's school nurse coordinator and/or building administrator.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Must have a valid state license as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse to practice professional nursing in Virginia.
- Two (2) years nursing experience, preferably in community health.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
- Reliable transportation is necessary.
- Travel within the City of Lynchburg as needed.
