What the Job Looks Like 

As our HR Manager, you’ll take ownership of developing and executing human resource strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of LCA. All HR functions from succession planning, talent and performance management, employee engagement, labor relations, compensation, and benefits, to policy management and beyond, while eliminating risks and remaining compliant with all legal and statutory requirements fall under your oversight.

 

As the driving force of a small team, you’ll wear many hats each day:

• Collaborate with senior leadership to understand LCA’s goals and provide HR guidance about strategic decisions as well as be hands-on with managing day-to-day tactical operations
• Offer insights into financial decisions as they relate to benefits, costs, etc. creating reports and means to regularly communicate KPIs
• Plan, develop, implement, and lead policies, processes, and training consistently across the organization
• Stay abreast of trends, best practices, new technologies, and regulatory changes
• Maintain successful labor-management relations and participate in collective bargaining negotiations

 

Important Qualifications to Your Success

• Experience: 10+ years of progressive human resources experience
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in HR or an HR related field
• Certifications: SPHR/PHR and/or SHRM-SCP/SHRM-CP  
• Skills:
• Ability to manage change through implementing new systems and revamping processes, as we are working to modernize the HR Department you will be our champion for driving change
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret and communicate data, you will rely heavily on Excel in this role and must have advanced Excel skills
• Prior experience resolving labor disputes and grievance, and representing management in negotiating collective bargaining agreements, mediation, and arbitration
• Excellent communication skills and comfortable with presenting to and training employee and leadership groups
• Outstanding interpersonal skills being able to manage sensitive and confidential situations
• A strong sense of urgency in responding to employee and manager requests 
• Tech savvy and able to pivot with ease between various systems
