Aerial Sports Program Manager

Principle Responsibilities

● Provide helpful and efficient service and maintain a friendly and cheerful attitude

● Oversight of all Aerial Sport related program and areas at the Summit Bechtel Reserve

● Participate in weekly operations meetings with other area directors and full-time management

● Train and manage staff to have the knowledge to carry out a safe, impactful, and fun program

● Write an end-of-season report with recommendations for improving venue operations

● Monitor conditions of facilities, report any deficiencies to the Aerial Sports Program Manager, and modify programming to ensure participant safety

● Responsible for all paperwork and inventory control for the program operations, equipment, and facilities

● Provide periodic performance evaluations of staff and partake in any disciplinary actions

● Other duties or projects as assigned by SBR leadership

● Abide by policies and procedure outlined in the SBR staff handbook

Qualifications & Training

● 21 years of age or older

● Required: BSA C.O.P.E. Directo National Camp School Card (training provided)

● Preferred: National Camping School COPE and/or Climbing Director and Program Trainer

● Required 2+ yr. leading teams, Prefer 2+ Summit employment

● Documented Aerial Sports work experience

● Comfortable at heights of 6' to 180'

● Ability to use Microsoft Teams daily for work related communication and coordination

● Be or become a registered member of the Boy Scouts of America

Performance Results

● Completes contract period with 2-4 positive experiences

● Receive one or more Staff Appreciation Cards from staff or participants

● Contribute at least one improvement to the Aerial Sports program

● Provide at least one memorable moment that matters to a participant

Physical Requirements

● Up to 9 hours a day of either standing, walking, hiking, and the ability to lift 65-85 lbs.
