Opportunity
Provide coordination and management of the Demand Planning process for Kohler Power Systems (KPS). Analyze data sources to achieve world class forecast accuracy by utilizing history, customer data, macro-economic market, and key business indicators for directional influence in demand planning. Support monthly Sales, Inventory, Operations and Planning (SIOP) cycles and lead demand planning meetings. Synchronize the demand planning process with inputs to be inclusive of product lifecycle needs, marketing events, special projects and balance incoming order consumption of the plan.
Specific Responsibilities
- Manage the rolling 24-month demand plan for all existing and future new products. Conduct a demand review meeting with Channel / Product Marketing, Sales, and Operations to capture all adjustments with logical reasoning. Balance the inputs with key market data and business indicators and reach agreement on an unconstrained demand plan for Kohler Power Systems
- Responsible for the collection, input, and maintenance of planning databases for directional leadership in Demand Planning inclusive of the development of the unconstrained demand plan. Examples of information include construction/housing starts, economic indicators, demographics, and Macro-Market trends.
- Maintain and report on demand plan accuracy. Conduct a root cause analysis on the key drivers to the error rate to continuously improve demand planning accuracy.
- Maintain and control all master data as it pertains to forecasting in SAP and manage all adjustments made to the forecast based on unique events, new product introductions and production movement.
- Support the go live of Kinaxis supply chain solution.
- Provide key performance measures and obtain high level decisions to be answered by senior management.
- Load the final approved sales plan on an agreed upon date each month. Document and share key changes from the prior month.
Skills/Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required preferably in Supply Chain
- 5-7 years’ experience required in operations and or demand planning with understanding of statistical tools and their application within demand planning while utilizing an ERP, preferably SAP.
- Proficiency in Microsoft tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Powerbi).
- Extraordinarily effective communication and meeting facilitation skills.
- Desired Experience
- Experience in Power BI (preferred)
- Kinaxis
- Professional certification from any professional S&OP or SIOP / Demand Institutions (preferred)
- APICS-CPIM certification. (preferred)

The salary range for this position is $81,050 - $102,400. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
