Cybersecurity Manager
Tennant is seeking a strong leader, communicator and problem solver to lead its cybersecurity program. This person will oversee and manage the organization's cybersecurity strategy and operations.
The role of the Cybersecurity Manager is to protect Tennant's assets, information systems, networks and data from security breaches, cyber threats, and unauthorized access, leveraging their in-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and best practices.
In this position, you will collaborate with other IT professionals, risk management teams, business continuity teams and senior IT leadership.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive cybersecurity plan to protect organizational assets. Track the status of activities in the plan and monitor and evaluate its effectiveness.
- Regularly communicate the cybersecurity strategy, providing updates on progress and issues. Content should be suitable for senior management review.
- Ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data residing on or transmitted through enterprise infrastructure.
- Create and update security policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Identify and mitigate potential cybersecurity risks by implementing appropriate strategies.
- Foster a culture of security awareness within the organization, educating employees about cybersecurity best practices.
- Partner with the corporate business continuity team to align on projects and status.
- Collaborate with the business continuity team to maintain an incident response plan and the regular testing of it.
- Assist with designing and implementing disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Lead efforts to detect, respond to, and recover from cybersecurity incidents.
- Stay informed about emerging cybersecurity technologies and trends. Evaluate tools and build business cases to implement them.
- Maintain a robust vulnerability management program.
- Oversee the monitoring of systems and security alerts.
- Analyze security data to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Supervise the design and execution of vulnerability assessments, penetration tests and security audits.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of direct work experience in a cybersecurity capacity.
- Proven experience in cybersecurity management roles
- Relevant certifications e.g. SCCP, CISSP, ISSAP
- Working technical knowledge of CrowdStrike EDR solutions
- Working technical knowledge of Rapid7 iVM
- Experience in MDR and XDR solutions
- Self-starter, able to operate independently and in changing environments.
- Experience managing others directly and/or indirectly through mentoring, coaching and persuasion.

- Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to research project and portfolio management issues and products as required.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Ability to facilitate relations between business groups and technology departments.
