What¿s a typical day as a Parts Washer Operator/Material Handler? You¿ll be:

¿ Moving pierce nut coil stock and pierce nuts manually, with hoist, crane, or lift truck

¿ Collecting data for SPC charts and making necessary calculations to complete and fill out all charting

¿ Moving pierce nuts and raw material through the production process using the "First-in/First-out" philosophy

¿ Setting up, adjusting as required, and troubleshooting machines and feed systems for Pierce Nut stock entering the nut product washer

¿ Entering production data into a computer-based ERP system

¿ Maintaining maximum efficiency and up-time of all machines

¿ Maintaining/titrating equipment coolants, water levels, oils, and chemicals

¿ Keeping all machinery and work areas swept, mopped, wiped down, organized, and free of clutter in compliance with 6S

¿ Following all company policies to ensure safety, quality, efficiency, and cost control

¿ Performing other duties as assigned

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

¿ Have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED)

¿ Have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

¿ Have the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

¿ Have the ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent

¿ Have the ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form

¿ Have problem-solving skills

¿ Have a Hi-Lo license/experience

¿ Are able to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls frequently

¿ Are able to sit or stand for 8-10 hours a day

¿ Are able to regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds

¿ Have specific vision abilities required by this job, including close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus

¿ Are committed to maintaining a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations

¿ Follow all safety requirements to avoid injury to self and fellow employees

¿ Create and maintain a safe work environment, repair and/or report non-conformances to company safety policies and guidelines

¿ Perform the necessary safety requirements to avoid injury to self and fellow employees
