Job Type: Temp/Contract
Job Duties for Pipe Welder Bryan TX:
- Education: Minimum high school diploma or GED required.
- Hours of Work: 6 AM – 4:30 PM, overtime as needed.
- 2-hour weld test included with the interview.
- Must communicate effectively and lead by example.
- Punctuality is essential.
Weld Test Details:
- Type: 3G, ½ inch plate pre-beveled open root MIG and Flux fill and cap.
- Required Equipment: Welding hood, welding gloves, welding cap, long sleeve shirt or leathers, steel-toed boots, wire brush, diagonal cutters.
Qualifications for Pipe Welder Bryan TX:
- Dress appropriately for the job (hard hat, safety glasses, and steel-toe boots).
- Additional equipment: Needle-nose pliers, grinder (4 ½ inch with disc and wire wheel).
- Respirator Fit Test – 3M 6000 Half Face Piece Respirator required.
- Highly skilled in pipe fitting, ability to calculate and lay out takeoffs on fittings and pipe per engineering drawings.
- Preferred welding skills in GMAW, FCAW, and GTAW (TIG).
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate welding machines and equipment.
- Perform welding tasks effectively with minimal supervision.
- Read and interpret drawings for complex piping and structural components.
- Comprehensive knowledge of carbon, stainless steel, and aluminum materials.
- Organize and maintain personal and company tools, equipment, and work area.
- Acquire personal tools as required.
- Adhere to safety regulations and correct unsafe practices.
- Maintain a positive attitude and ensure excellent quality work.
- Attend work per schedule, meeting or exceeding expected production rates.
- Other duties as assigned.

Pay Rate Range: $21.5 – $25.25
