Job description

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and innovative Strategic Marketing Manager to join our team. As the Strategic Marketing Manager, you will play a pivotal role in crafting and executing strategic marketing initiatives for our esteemed clients. Your primary responsibilities will include developing integrated marketing communications strategies to engage and raise awareness among both potential and existing clients. Additionally, you will be tasked with managing multi-channel campaigns effectively and providing the business development team with compelling marketing collateral to drive new prospects and nurture existing opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

Marketing Strategy:

Define and communicate our organization's value proposition and unique selling points across our product suite.
Strategize, plan, execute, and manage initiatives across four key areas:
Events marketing: including conference and industry event attendance and sponsorship.
Thought leadership marketing: encompassing webinar and conference presentation development, white papers and reports, and publication strategy.
Awareness marketing strategy: covering SEO/SEM, print and digital advertising strategy, email campaigns, and social media strategy.
Corporate marketing: focusing on website and PR strategy.
Track, measure, and optimize key marketing initiatives, providing monthly dashboards and reports to the leadership team.
Develop and drive the annual corporate marketing plan in collaboration with the head of marketing.

Sales & Marketing Collateral:

Collaborate with the Business Development team to create sales enablement materials, presentation templates, and compelling content.
Assist in the development of new product/feature rollouts and product demos/videos in coordination with the Business Development and Product teams.
Support the creation and development of request for proposal (RFP) responses.
Aid the Client Solutions team in client retention efforts, including developing engaging content and holiday campaigns.
Communicate with and educate client-facing teams on new and planned marketing activities.
Monitor and manage competitive intelligence.

Content Strategy & Execution:

Translate market positioning and value proposition into highly compelling customer-facing collateral.
Develop and execute a robust content strategy encompassing thought leadership, educational content, whitepapers, patient services reports, case studies, etc.
Ensure content aligns with customer needs and reinforces our reputation as an innovative industry leader.
Create brand, patient, and educator stories using multimedia content across various channels.

Market Intelligence:

Act as a subject matter expert on the competitive landscape within the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries.
Utilize market insights to refine marketing strategies and tactics.
Stay informed about industry trends, competitive dynamics, and market changes to identify growth opportunities and innovations.
Champion best-in-class patient support solutions and materials, ensuring our products and services are recognized as key differentiators in client support.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Professional Writing, or a relevant field.
7-10 years of direct experience in marketing or communications within the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries.

Required Skills:

Previous experience in biopharma solution providers and/or with patient-facing digital health solutions is preferred.
Excellent training, presentation, and written communication skills.
Proven ability to manage projects from inception to completion.
Strong content development and business writing experience.
High adaptability and flexibility, with the ability to thrive under deadline pressure and adapt to change.
Effective communication skills with senior management.
Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and insights for informed decision-making.
Demonstrated success in developing and executing strategic marketing plans and setting marketing KPIs.
Thorough understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, including legal/regulatory requirements, drug development lifecycle, and market trends.
