Brand Designer
Full time | Remote

About the Role
We’re currently working on leveling up our brand. Our company deeply values design, and it’s viewed as a key differentiator. Significant changes are coming soon, and we’re looking for an amazing brand designer with web design skills to help support a new brand roll out and ongoing design needs from marketing, sales, and other parts of our organization.
This is a mid-level role. Because this is our first brand design hire you'd need to be driven and capable of some autonomy. That doesn’t mean you’d be lonely or unsupported though! You’d be joining a small (6 folks so far), deeply kind, and talented design team. The culture of the team is supportive, data-driven, and growth-oriented. You will be reporting directly to the Head of Design & Brand who has grown other design teams in the past and has a long track record of coaching designers as they level up.
Responsibilities
- Translate our visual language into branded assets across a variety of digital channels including (but not limited to): landing pages, digital ad units, presentation decks, white papers, swag, sales collateral, email, social media, and more.
- Set and maintain a high bar for design across the organization by demonstrating a commitment to both craftsmanship and effectiveness
- Maintain and evolve our core brand identity and design guidelines to support company objectives and ensure a cohesive brand experience
- Work with partners in marketing to co-create high-quality creative campaigns and ads that reflect our brand at the highest level and help convert customers
- Support both the design team and cross-functional partners by producing assets that help them clearly communicate in an “on brand” way
- Help establish best practices and processes around the maintenance and evolution of our brand and assets
- Work with internal partners and external vendors to support implementation of design through launch
- Hand off designs to developers and QA developed designs
- Manage stakeholder expectations
- Scope design work, set and meet timelines
Who you are
- You’re comfortable being an active voice within our team in order to advocate for the brand. You have experience systemizing brands, and helping others use brand assets in their workflows.
- You’re an autonomous person who doesn’t like being micromanaged, but you have a bias towards sharing progress and being transparent in your design process.
- You’re comfortable with some ambiguity. You know how to set expectations, estimate how long something may take, and escalate issues when they arise.
- You’re able to manage multiple projects of varying complexities and meet reasonable deadlines.
- Your instincts are to work smarter, not harder. You’re continually looking for ways to improve processes in order to make our organization and your workflow more efficient.
- You like collaborating with and gaining alignment from people with various backgrounds. You’re respectful when challenging assumptions and you give and receive feedback with grace.
- You are skilled at communicating the thought process behind your designs. You know why you made each decision, and can clearly articulate it.
What you bring:
- 3+ years of brand design experience
- A compelling portfolio that showcases your design craftsmanship and process
- Strong command of layout, color, grids, icon design, and typography
- Experience with…

- developing templates and content for a variety of channels including: social, presentation decks, ads, etc.

- Research methodologies to qualitatively and quantitatively measure brand perception, affinity, and impact

Salary range of $100,000 - $150,000 annually DOE and geographic area.
This is a fully remote position.
