Job description
A Certified Nursing Aide (CNA) is needed at our new and exciting nursing facility in Cleveland, TN.
Tennessee State Veterans' Home is a long-term care and skilled nursing facility dedicated to caring for Tennessee veterans and their families. As a Certified Nursing Aide (CNA) you will work closely with licensed Nurses and other team members to meet the needs of our residents and to ensure high quality care is maintained.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Provides resident with exceptional activity of daily living care to include vital signs, feeding, toileting, bathing, and oral care.
- Completed documentation accurately, timely and consistently and efficiently follows facility policies and procedures. Participate in the development of an individualized plan of care for assigned residents.
- Documents each treatment provided, refusal of treatment, reason(s) treatment could not be provided and progress notes as required.
- Observes and practices infection control procedures.
- Reports changes in residents to licensed nursing staff.
- Assists other staff as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS Candidate must have a current & active Nursing Aide Certification. Must be a caring individual who is willing to assist in any way possible to provide a safe and comfortable environment for our residents. Individual must be able to work independently and make decisions when circumstances warrant to meet the needs of residents and be flexible in work habits to meet needs of residents or nursing staff. Must be able to deal tactfully and effectively with residents, families and visitors. Must be able to read and understand standard English and be willing to work as part of a caring team to provide the best possible care for our residents.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS High School Diploma or equivalent
CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES Current and active CPR and active Nursing Aide Certification.
OPEN POSITIONS 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM with every other weekend
