This is a full-time remote position within the United States.
As a member of the Data and AI Integration Services Section within the Enterprise Platform Services Division, you will manage a team of highly skilled data engineers and software engineers who build, deliver and support best-in-class data products, including state-of-the-art data pipelines using Google Cloud Platform and GCP Shared Services. You will provide resource management support as well as technology support that enables high performing teams and staff satisfaction. In this role, you will be part of a larger IT management team, working with senior IT leadership, product managers, product owners and customers to define and execute product strategies that meet and exceed consumer expectations. You will encourage and drive a DevOps mindset within your team to ensure product innovation and quality. This will include being a champion for team process improvements and optimization efforts focused on data delivery, scalability, quality, and efficiency. You may participate in the evaluation of supporting technologies and industry best practices with cloud partners and peer teams.
The Technology Manager is responsible for the roadmap and overall management of a technology portfolio of either applications or infrastructure components. The main competency of a Technology Manager center on the disciplines of technology management to ensure the portfolio effectively meets short and long term Mayo requirements. Technology Managers assess technology effectiveness to ensure alignment with performance, cost, architectural and business requirements. The Technology Manager develops short and long term plans working with the Office of IT Strategy and Architecture as well as the Office of Information Security to ensure the technology portfolio components align with overall direction and meets Mayo requirements. Technology Managers are responsible for developing high performance operations and developing tech culture based teams to delivery technology upgrades, enhancements, integrations and level three on call support while ensuring direct report development and training needs are met. Technology Managers provide structure, guidance and support for budgeting, capital, and Opex planning for delivery of technology. May serve as Secretary, Assistant Secretary or member of IT for institutional committees.
QualificationsBachelor's degree with 6 years of experience, which includes 2 years of demonstrated leadership experience; Or, Associated Degree with 8 years of experience, which includes 2 years of demonstrated leadership experience and commitment to obtain a Bachelor's degree within 4 years. Experienced with committee- and consensus-managed, physician-led organization.
Other Qualifications:
Requires skill in effective decision making and effective consensus management. Strong understanding of and experience in Technology Management disciplines. Strong understanding of finance, business processes, budgeting and human resources development. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated history of continuing education in personnel and administrative processes. Experience with personnel management, resource allocation, coaching and mentoring. Master's degree preferred with 4 years of experience. Experience working in healthcare technology. Experience with managing both custom developed and vendor-supplied products and services. Experience in vendor management and negotiations. Some travel may be required in this position.

Authorization to work and remain in the United States, without necessity for Mayo Clinic sponsorship now, or in the future (for example, be a U.S. Citizen, national, or permanent resident, refugee, or asylee). Also, Mayo Clinic does not participate in the F-1 STEM OPT extension program.
