Position Overview

As an Associate Merchandising Analyst, you will negotiate and close down gross profit opportunities, as well as negotiate and execute promotional merchandising programs for our independent retailers. You will work closely with our vendor and broker community.
You will contribute by:
- Negotiating and executing promotional merchandising programs with vendors and manufacturers (weekly ads/bi-annual food shows & Marketing events.
- Negotiating opportunities with Vendors and Manufacturers maximizing profitable inventories by creating logistical and administrative efficiencies.
- Learning the functions of various systems & reports for daily usage
- Managing reconciliation of vendor rebate programs to ensure accuracy and timeliness of payments from the vendor community.
- Setting up and maintaining item and vendor data integrity, including pricing, item accuracy, item changes, item assortment, info, and lost income resolution.
- Working on special projects with Senior Analysts and Mangers, such as representing division on specific weekly conference calls, food show coordination, retail merchandising, and other projects.
- Working cross functionally with the Procurement team on excess inventory resolution.
- Interfacing with other C&S departments, vendors, and retail customers for resolutions regarding invoicing, or deduction management.

We’re searching for candidates with:
- Sound statistical acumen, interpretation and analytical ability
- Professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize
- 2 years experience
