Job Summary:

The 20th Television Controllership team provides financial statements and analysis to Corporate Controllership and Disney Television Studios Management. This department is responsible for reporting the financial performance of hundreds of shows over different markets, covering 20th Television, 20th Television Animation and Searchlight TV. 20th Television is passionate about process improvement, standardization, reducing complexity and efficient use of technology. The team’s objectives are to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the overall team while improving the value and accessibility of the data crafted by the accounting processes which will enable the commercial teams to drive toward greater revenue growth and margin improvements.

The Manager of this team will oversee the month-end, quarter-end and year-end close and reconciliation processes including but not limited to quarter-end deliverables and disclosures, intercompany eliminations, participation and residual accruals, leases, joint venture accounting, handling external/internal audit requests, SOX 404 compliance, development and adhoc requests by Management. This role will also work closely with other internal Disney divisions, including Corporate Controllership, Credit & Collections, Media & DTC divisions, Finance, SOX, Tax and Distribution teams. In addition, the Manager will be responsible for various key functions that support system integration of general ledgers, and front of house systems, as well as building and analyzing financial reporting process improvements.

Education:

The hiring range for this position in California is $123,000 to $150,200 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
