Production Manager

Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the production team to meet production targets while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Drive a culture of accountability by setting clear expectations, providing regular feedback, and implementing disciplinary measures when necessary.
- Utilize strong troubleshooting skills and root cause analysis techniques to address production issues and minimize downtime.
- Implement and maintain standardized work processes, operating guidelines, and quality control procedures.
- Foster a zero-tolerance culture for safety and quality deviations, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives, utilizing tools such as Six Sigma, FMEA, Red X, 8D, etc., to identify and address root causes of inefficiencies.
- Mentor and develop team members, providing opportunities for growth and advancement within the organization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and logistics, to optimize production processes and drive cost savings.
- Regularly report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to safety, quality, productivity, and cost.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience and Education
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field required; advanced degree preferred.
- Strong business acumen with a demonstrated understanding of manufacturing operations and financial principles.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive manufacturing, preferably with Tier 1 supplier experience.
- Proven track record of implementing and maintaining a culture of accountability on the production floor.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and experience with root cause analysis methodologies such as Six Sigma (Black Belt certification preferred), FMEA, Red X, 8D, etc.
- High potential for growth and advancement within the organization.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively manage competing priorities.
