Laboratory Technician/Phlebotomist (Healthcare Sciences)
Job Responsibilities
In this role you will be responsible for phlebotomy, patient testing, and all necessary tasks to keep the laboratory functioning.
Position Title: Laboratory Technician/Phlebotomist
Schedule: 5:30 am to 2:00 pm (S/S off)
Other Jobs Duties & Skills Needed:
- Perform phlebotomy as a main member of the phlebotomy team
- Perform urinalysis and serology testing
- Operate laboratory equipment, troubleshoot any minor instrument malfunctions, and perform preventive maintenance
- Perform clerical duties that support the operation of the laboratory
Laboratory Technician/Phlebotomist (Healthcare Sciences)
Job Requirements
Successful candidates for the Laboratory Technician/Phlebotomist include:
- Professional with an associate degree from accredited Medical Laboratory Technician program. College degree in science may be substituted on a year-for-year basis
- Valid WA State Dept. of Health Medical Assistant Phlebotomist certification
- Certification with American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP MT, MLT, or MLS) or equivalent (e.g., American Medical Technologists) is required
