IT Systems Analyst

About the position
Responsible for providing technical support to IT project teams throughout the development and deployment phases of applications. This role is instrumental in ensuring smooth application releases, providing support to end-users, and collaborating with developers to proactively and promptly identify and resolve issues, in alignment with all Company policies, procedures, values, key objectives, and regulations.
Day in the life

- Collaborates with project teams to understand application functionality and user needs to provide knowledgeable technical support throughout the development and deployment phases.
- Acts as a bridge between technical and non-technical teams, translating complex technical concepts into understandable language for users.
- Collaborates with other IT and business unit team members and communicates effectively with stakeholders on all IT-related matters.
- Serves as the primary technical support resource for project teams during application deployments, assisting end-users with troubleshooting, issue resolution, and guiding application
- Tracks and manages issues reported by end-users during releases, documenting details and working closely with developers to prioritize and resolve issues promptly.
- Conducts regular maintenance tasks for applications, including user setups and application administration.
- Provides training and support to end-users on application usage, best practices, and troubleshooting techniques to promote user adoption and satisfaction.
- Facilitates knowledge transfer to the help desk team for ongoing support, upon successful deployment of an application.
- Creates and maintains positive customer, vendor, and community relationships.
- Collaborates with internal and external personnel to create and implement continuous improvement solutions, systems, and logistics as needed.
- Consistently makes decisions attentively and safely to ensure the safety and health of self and others.
- Utilizes LEAN concepts or other continuous improvement methodologies to ensure the most efficient operations, processes, and activities.

Minimum Qualifications
Required Education, Experience and Skills
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in computer science, information technology, computer services, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of proven experience in a systems analyst or similar technical support role, preferably in software development.
- Strong technical background with expertise in application development, deployment, and support.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with a focus on accuracy and thoroughness in all aspects of work.
- Training, experience, and skills with project management.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines with a customer-centric approach.
- Strong initiative, prioritization, and the ability to communicate and interact successfully with employees and to develop and maintain positive professional relationships with colleagues.
- Strong service orientation.
- Strong analytical, independent, and proactive problem-solving skills.
- Ability to capture and communicate the context of a situation, delve into, and achieve an understanding of a problem or request, and offer the most appropriate viable solutions and recommendations.
