Key Responsibilities:
The Regional Business Director is responsible for implementing and executing the company’s adoption and commercialization strategy by managing the US Clinical Development Team for the Southeast region and their activities to help the company achieve its short and long-term objectives. You will develop and maintain strong relationships with U.S. physicians and hospital staff, coach and manage the performance of your aligned team and work to achieve sales objectives and overall business goals for your region.
Under the VP of Sales US, responsibilities include:
- Participates in the definition of the company’s commercialization strategy and formulates sales strategies to achieve regional commercial sales objectives.
- Coaches and manages the performance and competency development of the Clinical Development Managers and Regional Clinical Manager.
- Identifies and evaluates market opportunities and sales potential to identify potential customers and establish new sales pathways.
- Develops and presents sales proposals to potential customers, initiates, and conducts sales negotiations and coordinates the redaction of commercial contracts.
- Provides sales forecasts, develops, and executes tactical sales plans and communicates product supply requirements to the Production and Operations teams.
- Develops and maintains strong customer relationships with U.S. physicians and hospital staff.
- Recruits and hires talent to grow the regional team.
- Assists in the development of training plans for new hires and existing teams.
- Develops and communicates a vision for the team and creates an environment of team engagement and motivation.
- Develops and/or identifies new work processes and improves utilization of resources to increase efficiency.
- Complies with and holds team accountable for complying with good clinical practices, good documentation practices and regulatory guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in the field of science/engineering, business administration, or related field
- 5+ years of related work experience in the medical device industry with at least 3 years in the cardiovascular space with a preference for electrophysiology sales experience
- 3+ years of people management experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated leader with experience leading high-performing clinical and sales teams.
- Demonstrated, proven track record of continuous success in meeting and exceeding commercial and sales objectives.
- Demonstrated, a proven track record in recruiting, retaining, and developing key talent.
- Experience in maintaining strong, mutually beneficial relationships with physicians and hospital staff.
- Significant knowledge of MedTech and EP industry developments
- Financial and business acumen
- Comprehensive personal computer skills (experience with Microsoft Office required)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong business communication skills (verbal, written, interpersonal)
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to present information in a clear and concise manner.
