Job description

Compensation for this role: $26.00 to $30.00 per hour

General Responsibilities

Maintain open communication lines with all working relationships

Follow up to ensure items for which the job is accountable are performed

Earn and maintain customer’s trust

Uphold the core values of the organization

Work well with others to accomplish the mission of the organization and of the job

Specific Responsibilities

Serve as apprentice program contact for all apprentices at Encore Electric

Build relationships with apprentices and serve as an approachable resource

Listen and act on apprentice needs and feedback

Enhance current program to be high touch and create opportunities to highlight apprentices often

School Registration and Management

Annually register 350+ apprentices for school

Maintain accurate school data for easy reference and access

Personally follow up on attendance notifications and remind of attendance policy

Watch grades and follow up with apprentices if on the verge of failing

Work Report Audits i.e. send reminders, instructions

Books

Order books per year and needs i.e. 1st year, code books, etc.

Communicate cost breakdown of books and have each apprentice sign off

Coordinate book pick up and delivery before first day of class

Maintain book deduction information and partner with payroll for execution

Industry Partnerships

Maintain professional relationships with all IEC and apprenticeship accredited schools. including, but not limited to:

As Encore grows, explore and pursue other schooling options

OA Registration

Work to have all apprentices OA registered within 6 months of hire date, unless their school program does not support OA

Maintain active OA certificates and send to payroll before end date

Audit OA certificates to make sure it is an accurate list i.e. active vs non active employees

Serve as OA point of contact for all project requirement needs i.e. reporting, coordination, etc.

Event and Award Coordination

Acknowledge all accomplishments company-wide i.e. Marketing/Email blast, etc.

Oversee “Wire Off” Competition

Attend graduations and/or coordinate a group to attend graduations

Industry Dinners Coordination

Advanced Apprenticeship Program

Communicate requirements to all apprentices and often

Ensure trainings are available and scheduled to meet program requirements

Track participants and communicate and reward “graduations” accordingly

Information Tracking

Assist in the performance of reporting for all apprenticeship classes including, but not limited to:

Ensure employee training is recorded in a systematic way

Perform data entry in various systems

GI Bill information management

General

Assist training team and licensing as time allows

Present in weekly orientation on apprenticeship program

Other duties as may be assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Industry experience is preferred. Two years of work experience and/or experience in training or program management a plus.
