Job description

Adecco is currently assisting a local client in their search to fill a Claims Assistant position located in Ontario, CA 91764 zip code.

Pay: $20.00/HR

Shift:  Monday – Friday (8am-4:30pm till fully trained)

Optional Shift After Training 8am – 4:30pm or 7am – 3:30pm or 7:30am – 4pm

Length:  6+ months

Responsible for various functions related to claims that have been processed, denied or identified as unable to process.

Job Duties:

·       Mon-Fri match Checks with Remittance Advise fold & insert into the appropriate sized envelope.

·       Reconcile processed batches within the audit database.

·       Create Denial trailers and mail out letters.

·       Print and mail out letters on claims requirements for Covered California members.

·       Forward claims that are Health Plan responsibility.

·       Mail out all unable to process claims with the appropriate letter to providers and create trailer.

·       Batch all trailers created by various departments.

·       Audit the Batch Log Key to ensure claims have been assigned and logged as processed.

·       Look up members to determine Line of Business and Coordination of Benefits are in system.

Qualifications:

·       High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)

·       6 months clerical office experience.

·       Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (Example: Familiarity with spreadsheet applications such as Excel and/or Access.

·       Excellent Data Entry skills needed.

·       Computer knowledge: Basic Excel, Word, Outlook, Alpha Numeric Entry, 35-40 wpm.

·       Detail oriented

·       Ability to work with and tolerate constant changes to processes.

·       Must demonstrate the ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.

·       Excellent communication skills.
