Job description

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking multiple BC/BE Child & Adolescent Psychiatrists to join our growing team at the Pediatric Psychiatry Collaborative (PPC) in Hackensack and Neptune, New Jersey locations. Our PPC Psychiatrists work closely with a team of psychologists, social workers, pediatricians, and developmental pediatricians to provide care to children and adolescents in Bergen, Monmouth, and Ocean County areas. We are hiring for both full-time and part-time positions to join the interdisciplinary team. 

The NJPPC is a state funded grant program where Hackensack Meridian Health, and other health systems throughout NJ, partner to provide support, evaluations, and recommendations for children with behavioral and emotional health issues. The NJPPCs consultative model is designed to educate pediatricians on mental health care, help them screen for and identify mental health concerns, and get timely access to a consultation with a child and adolescent psychiatrist.

• Collaboration among multiple sites (statewide)
• On-call responsibilities required
• Outpatient/Consultative setting

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide recommendations to Primary Care Pediatricians (PCPs) via telephone.
• Document evaluations according to program guidelines. 
• Provide evaluation services to patients referred by the PCPs according to program guidelines. 
• Participate in education of Pediatricians, residents, fellows. and medical students. 

Requirements Include:

• Current New Jersey Medical License
• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
• Medical degree from a recognized medical school
• Ability to interface effectively with professional personnel
