The Senior Manager is a key contributor in the Executive Excellence program and will focus on offerings and lead diverse projects with direct impact to Marriott’s profitability and operating performance; franchise community education and engagement; and Franchise Operations organizational efficiency and effectiveness.  Key responsibilities include:
•   Coach program participants to improve performance within their portfolios of Marriott branded hotels, which are managed by franchise management companies and to provide insights to Franchise Management Company Principals by identifying key opportunities to leverage Marriott systems and programs to drive revenue and operations performance.  
•   Manage aspects of the design and development of tools, processes, programs and learning platforms in close collaboration with 
the MSB Franchise Operations, Executive Excellence, and MSB Franchising leadership teams, as well as cross-disciplinary leaders and teams within and beyond franchising.
•   Coordinate matrixed teams and shepherd programs and processes (from insight to deployment) including developing e-learnings and face to face learnings, that drive revenue, operating efficiencies and performance, and franchise loyalty. The role requires the ability to understand the diverse needs of stakeholders across the business and apply a deep understanding of franchising, Marriott disciplines, hospitality operations, communication methodologies and strategic account management. EXPECTED CONTRIBUTIONS
Leadership
•   Effectively engages with Sr Leaders and franchise Principles to gain buy in to support Marriott policies and recommendations.
•   Partners with Headquarters teams to design system implementation and rollout plans that result in adoption of Marriott systems and tools by Franchise hotels.
•   Leverages Marriott’s business approach to franchise support and can effectively minimize risk to the enterprise.
•   Lead projects to support the training and communication strategies for the Executive Excellence suite of programs and to drive awareness, adoption, and knowledge amongst franchisees and above-property leaders. 
•   Develop and implement audience-centric deliverables (webinars, large audience presentations, executive presentations, job aids, modules to support Owner Franchise Services (OFS) training programs, training videos, conference breakout sessions, etc.) to influence and train users on how to use tools to drive improvement as products evolve and awareness/training needs emerge.
•   Identify, evolve, and implement new strategies, partnerships, or deliverables to more effectively help operators and leaders utilize tools to drive guest experience and topline performance. This includes writing business case proposals and identifying/leading additional resources, as needed.
Drive For Results
•   Develop and deploy learning module(s) in the DLZ for above property leaders based on evolving business needs of the Executive Excellence program.
•   Own focused efforts to define the future state of data collection, data maintenance, and distribution.
•   Will develop, implement, and monitor processes to drive efficiencies within the team, focused on improving performance at the Franchise Management company level.
•   Pro-actively communicate data, trends and insights to leadership and manage work in matrix environment.
•   Serve as project manager when needed for special projects related to program initiatives.
•   Explore solutions and support implementation of technologies to better serve participants for tracking and maintaining records with a strong focus on data integrity and automation.
•   Evaluates performance for portfolio/management companies and recognizes opportunity areas. Identifies underlying causes of good/bad performance and develops plans to address with the appropriate management company.  Coaches participants on key initiatives, systems, tools and resources.

Manage Execution
•   Develops and delivers Performance Reviews and education on Marriott’s systems, tools and resources to Senior Executives at Franchise Management Companies, focused on education and understanding of all opportunities to drive results.
•   Manage content of all Executive Excellence programs to build quality content that is executed timely.
•   Review and edit all program brochures semi-annually or when programs change.
•   Partner with Brand, GQ, Topline, Opening & Transactions, to ensure curriculum meets current business environment and adjust curriculum as necessary.
•   Partner with Executive Excellence program development leadership in assessing areas for improvement or enhancement while forward thinking and open to change.
•   Contributes insights and education in the prioritization of systems, programs, tools and decision-making support resources; balances this perspective with an understanding of system wide priority and opportunity.
•   Uncovers areas where Marriott tools and resources are not being leveraged by franchise management companies, potentially leading to missed opportunities; navigates Marriott’s internal organization to pair need with solution.
•   Prepares and delivers presentations that are tailored to the unique educational opportunity areas for individual franchise management companies, highlighting top opportunity areas, and driving for agreement on next steps and measurement.
•   Takes responsibility for proposing a learning plan that supports emerging business requirements and personal development objectives.
•   Develops and uses systems to organize account plans, pull through, performance updates on key metrics.

Experience and Skills
REQUIRED
•   At least five years of hotel industry and franchising work experience demonstrating career growth and a pattern of exceptional performance.
•   Ability to concept, design and deliver programs that positively influence Marriott franchise performance and Marriott organizational performance and profitability.
•   Proven track record of evaluating business strategies, performance, financial results and trends to develop and successfully implement new programs and processes that deliver tangible business results at divisional and enterprise levels.
•   Design and development experience including e-learning.
•   Demonstrated relationship effectiveness with Marriott executives, owners, franchisees and external vendors and partners.
•   Experience managing projects through a highly matrixed and relationship-based organization with ability to influence the work of counterparts without direct authority.
•   Exceptional skill in problem solving and leveraging resources to optimize capabilities.
•   Knowledge of Marriott franchise philosophy and operations and hospitality franchise model.
•   Long-term strategy, planning and program management skills, including ability to concept, design, deliver and improve programs and processes.
•   Effective ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, develop accurate cost estimates, and manage to a budget.
•   Effectively communicates and demonstrates strong platform skills both orally and in writing across all levels of the organization, both internally and externally.
•   Identifies and communicates the connection between change initiatives and organizational direction. 
•   Proficiencies in Microsoft Office applications and Articulate. Education or Certification
•   Bachelor’s preferred in a quantitative discipline (finance, operations research, economics, mathematics, statistics, etc.)
•   MBA, advanced degree in a quantitative discipline desired, or three-plus years of directly related work experience. California Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $96,038.00 to $209,169.00 annually. Colorado Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $96,038.00 to $190,154.00 annually. Hawaii Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $116,205.00 to $209,169.00 annually. New York Applicants Only : The salary range for this position is $96,038.00 to $209,169.00 annually. Washington Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $96,038.00 to $209,169.00 annually. In addition to the annual salary, the position will be eligible to receive an annual bonus. Employees will accrue 0.04616 PTO balance for every hour worked and eligible to receive minimum of 7 holidays annually.
